Google's new 'Panda Update' - a change in their algorithms - is desinged to flush out content and link farms used to achieve higher page rank results. Indeed, this seems to have been effective, but even some 'white hat' sites have been affected.
As a search engine optimization strategist for law firms in San Antonio and Central Texas, I have seen very few changes to clients' traffic or rankings. Quality, original content and high page rank links still seem to be what Google values. And that's a good thing.
